My First Wedding Videography Gig: Kiera & Lee’s Beautiful Day in Margate

Wedding photography and videography Trinity Church Margate

In August, I had the incredible opportunity to film my very first wedding at the beautiful Holy Trinity Church in Margate. And let me just say—it was such a perfect introduction to wedding videography, I think I’m officially hooked! Kiera and Lee’s day was filled with so much love and fun, and I was lucky enough to be there to capture the ceremony and a bit of the reception.

The Day Begins… with a Horse-Drawn Carriage

The day kicked off with Kiera’s unforgettable entrance—she arrived at the church in a stunning horse-drawn carriage that could have been pulled straight from a fairy tale! Although Lee was already inside the church waiting for his bride, I was there to film Kiera stepping out of the carriage and making her way to the church doors. It was such a magical moment and set the perfect tone for the day.

The Ceremony: A Beautiful Beginning

The ceremony itself was absolutely beautiful. Holy Trinity Church is such a stunning venue with its high ceilings and stained glass, and it made the perfect backdrop for Kiera and Lee’s vows. I captured everything from Kiera’s graceful walk down the aisle to the emotional exchange of vows and the look on Lee’s face when he saw her for the first time—it was a moment.

There were so many little touches throughout the ceremony that made it feel intimate and full of love, despite being surrounded by their family and friends. It was the kind of ceremony that just felt really meaningful, and I was so happy to be able to capture that.

Confetti, Doves, and All the Fun Moments

Once Kiera and Lee were officially married, it was time to head outside for some fun! The confetti throw was such a joyful, colorful moment, and you could see the happiness on everyone’s faces as they celebrated the newlyweds. And then came the dove release—talk about magical! Watching Kiera and Lee together, as they released those beautiful white doves, was like something out of a movie.

But what I loved most about the day were the little silly moments I caught on camera. Kiera and Lee have such a playful energy, and it came through in every shot. Whether they were exchanging cheeky glances, bursting into laughter, or sharing private jokes, it was clear that they have a really fun and relaxed connection. Those moments were pure gold and really made the video feel like them.

Couple Shots and Memories to Last

After the ceremony, we moved on to get some couple shots, and honestly, these two were such naturals. They didn’t need to pose or act a certain way—they were just themselves, laughing, chatting, and soaking in the moment. It made capturing their love so effortless. I focused on those candid, authentic moments that really told their story.

Looking Back… and Looking Forward!

Kiera and Lee’s wedding was the perfect way to kick off my wedding videography journey. The day was filled with love, laughter, and so much personality—it was everything you’d want a wedding day to be, and I’m so grateful I got to be part of it.

Now that I’ve caught the videography bug, I can’t wait to see where this new path takes me. I’m already looking forward to capturing more of those special moments that make each wedding unique. Here’s to the next adventure!
